एना मन्दानो जहि शूर शत्रूञ्जामिमजामिं मघवन्नमित्रान् । अभिषेणाँ अभ्यादेदिशानान्पराच इन्द्र प्र मृणा जही च ॥

enā́ mandānáḥ jahi śūra śátrūñ jāmím ajāmím maghavann amítrān | abhí-seṇāṃ abh yā́-dédiśānān parā́ca indra prá mṛṇā́ jahī́ ca ||

Con éste (el Soma), exultante, hiere, oh héroe, a los enemigos — parientes y no parientes, oh generoso, los hostiles. A los que avanzan contra nosotros en bandas, arremetiendo desde todas partes — recházalos lejos, oh Indra; aplástalos y hiere de nuevo.
