Sukta 5.29
त्री यच्छता महिषाणामघो मास्त्री सरांसि मघवा सोम्यापाः । कारं न विश्वे अह्वन्त देवा भरमिन्द्राय यदहिं जघान ॥
trī yac chatā mahiṣāṇām agho mā́s trī sarāṃsi maghavā somyā apāḥ | kāraṃ na viśve ahvanta devā bharam indrāya yad ahiṃ jaghāna ||
Tres centenas de fuerzas poderosas, tres corrientes y las aguas del Soma: todo eso lo ganó el Generoso (Maghavan). Entonces todos los dioses clamaron, como al grito de un cantor: «¡Victoria para Indra!», cuando mató a la Serpiente (Ahi); los poderes universales celebran el triunfo de la luz sobre el impedimento.
