अहन्निन्द्रो अदहदग्निरिन्दो पुरा दस्यून्मध्यंदिनादभीके । दुर्गे दुरोणे क्रत्वा न यातां पुरू सहस्रा शर्वा नि बर्हीत् ॥

Transliteration

áhann índro ádahad agnír índo purā́ dásyūn madhyándinād abhī́ke | dúrge duróṇe kratvā́ ná yātā́ṃ purū́ sahásrā śárvā ní barhīt ||

Translation

Indra mató; Agni quemó, oh Indu, a los Dasyus de antaño — ya desde el mediodía, en la lucha cercana. En el paso arduo, en la morada difícil, a quienes no avanzaban según el Krátu (la voluntad verdadera) los abatió; hizo caer muchos miles de dardos hostiles — para que el camino del alma quede despejado para el recto peregrinar.
