Sukta 4.1
त्वां ह्यग्ने सदमित्समन्यवो देवासो देवमरतिं न्येरिर इति क्रत्वा न्येरिरे । अमर्त्यं यजत मर्त्येष्वा देवमादेवं जनत प्रचेतसं विश्वमादेवं जनत प्रचेतसम् ॥
tvā́ṃ hy àgne sádám ít samanyávo devā́so devám aratíṃ ny èriré íti krátvā ny èriré | amártyaṃ yajata mártyeṣv ā́ devám ā́devaṃ janata prá-cetasaṃ víśvam ā́devaṃ janata prá-cetasam ||
Oh Agni, a ti — en verdad a ti — los dioses, en constante unanimidad, te han puesto al frente como Guía divino y Conductor infalible; por la fuerza de la intención consciente (krátu) te han establecido. Venerad al Inmortal entre los mortales; engendrad en nosotros la divinidad que conduce a la divinidad — la divinidad universal, engendradla en nosotros, oh Previsor (pracétas).
