तं त्वा मर्ता अगृभ्णत देवेभ्यो हव्यवाहन । विश्वान्यद्यज्ञाँ अभिपासि मानुष तव क्रत्वा यविष्ठ्य ॥

táṃ tvā martā́ agṛbhṇata devébhyo havyavāhana | víśvāny ád yajñā́m̐ abhípāsi mā́nuṣa táva krátvā yaviṣṭhya ||

A ti te han tomado los mortales para los dioses, oh portador de la ofrenda (havyavāhana). Pues tú guardas todos los sacrificios, oh Fuego vuelto hacia los hombres, por tu voluntad de saber eficaz (krátu), oh el más joven en poder.
