Sukta 3.53
किं ते कृण्वन्ति कीकटेषु गावो नाशिरं दुह्रे न तपन्ति घर्मम् । आ नो भर प्रमगन्दस्य वेदो नैचाशाखं मघवन्रन्धया नः ॥
kíṃ te kṛṇvanti kī́kaṭeṣu gā́vo ná āśíraṃ duhré ná tapanti gharmám | ā́ no bhara prá-magandasya védो naicāśā́khaṃ maghavan randhayā naḥ ||
¿Qué hacen tus rayos de Luz entre los Kīkaṭa, donde las vacas no ordeñan rica esencia ni encienden el tibio ardor del ghr̥ta? Tráenos el Veda, el verdadero saber, de aquel que se mueve en fragancia torcida; y, oh Maghavan, somete para nosotros el brote sin ramas, ajeno, que no pertenece al linaje recto.
