Sukta 3.2
क्रत्वा दक्षस्य तरुषो विधर्मणि देवासो अग्निं जनयन्त चित्तिभिः । रुरुचानं भानुना ज्योतिषा महामत्यं न वाजं सनिष्यन्नुप ब्रुवे ॥
kratvā́ dákṣasya tárūṣo vídharmaṇi devā́so agníṁ janayanta cítti-bhiḥ | rurucānám bhānúnā jyótiṣā mahā́m atyáṁ ná vā́jaṁ saniṣyán úpa bruve ||
Por krátu, la voluntad consciente, y por dákṣa, la destreza del poder eficaz, en la ley ordenada del obrar recto (vi-dharmaṇi) los dioses hacen nacer a Agni mediante percepciones luminosas (citti). A él, que fulge con rayo y luz, grande como un corcel de la vastedad, lo invoco, buscando vāja (fuerza victoriosa, botín).
