Sukta 2.28
मा नो वधैर्वरुण ये त इष्टावेनः कृण्वन्तमसुर भ्रीणन्ति । मा ज्योतिषः प्रवसथानि गन्म वि षू मृधः शिश्रथो जीवसे नः ॥
mā́ no vadháir varuṇa yé ta iṣṭā́v énaḥ kṛṇvántam asura bhrīṇánti | mā́ jyótiṣaḥ pra-vasáthāni ganma ví ṣū́ mṛ́dhaḥ śiśratho jīváse naḥ ||
No nos hieras con castigos mortales, oh Varuṇa, cuando los hombres a tu servicio, oh Asura, acusan de culpa al que actúa. No nos dejes ir a moradas lejanas, lejos de la luz; desata por completo las fuerzas hostiles, para que vivamos.
