Sukta 10.142
अयमग्ने जरिता त्वे अभूदपि सहसः सूनो नह्यन्यदस्त्याप्यम् । भद्रं हि शर्म त्रिवरूथमस्ति त आरे हिंसानामप दिद्युमा कृधि ॥
ayám agne jaritā́ tvé abhūd ápi sáhasaḥ sūno náhy anyád asty ā́pyam | bhadráṃ hí śárma tri-varū́tham ásti te āré hiṃsā́nām ápa didyúm ā́ kṛdhi ||
Este cantor, oh Agni, se ha hecho uno contigo, oh hijo de Sahas (la Fuerza); pues no hay otro refugio seguro al que se pueda llegar. Porque tuyo es un amparo dichoso, guardado por triple defensa: aleja lejos el golpe de los transgresores y coloca en torno a nosotros una protección resplandeciente.
