अश्वावति प्रथमो गोषु गच्छति सुप्रावीरिन्द्र मर्त्यस्तवोतिभिः । तमित्पृणक्षि वसुना भवीयसा सिन्धुमापो यथाभितो विचेतसः ॥
áśvāvatī prathamó góṣu gacchati suprā́vīr índra mártyas tavóti-bhiḥ | tám ít pṛṇakṣi vásunā bhávīyasā síndhum ā́po yáthābhíto ví-cetasaḥ ||
El rico en caballos avanza el primero entre las vacas de los rayos, oh Indra: el mortal fortalecido por tus auxilios. A ése lo colmas con una plenitud mayor, como las aguas, moviéndose con discernimiento, llenan el río por todos lados.
