Sukta 1.167
आ नोऽवोभिर्मरुतो यान्त्वच्छा ज्येष्ठेभिर्वा बृहद्दिवैः सुमायाः । अध यदेषां नियुतः परमाः समुद्रस्य चिद्धनयन्त पारे ॥
ā́ no ’vóbhir marúto yā́ntv ácchā jyeṣṭhébhir vā bṛháddivaiḥ sumāyā́ḥ | ádha yád eṣāṃ niyútaḥ paramā́ḥ samudrásya cid dhánayanta pāré ||
Venid a nosotros, oh Maruts, con vuestras ayudas — ya con los más antiguos, los de vasto resplandor en el gran cielo, diestros en buen arte. Pues cuando sus energías más altas, ya uncidas, vencen aun en la orilla lejana del océano, entonces su poder queda probado: que llegue aquí para nuestro camino.
