यं त्वं रथमिन्द्र मेधसातयेऽपाका सन्तमिषिर प्रणयसि प्रानवद्य नयसि । सद्यश्चित्तमभिष्टये करो वशश्च वाजिनम् । सास्माकमनवद्य तूतुजान वेधसामिमां वाचं न वेधसाम् ॥
yáṃ tváṃ rátham indra medhásātaye’pākā́ sántam iṣira práṇáyasi prā́návadya náyasi | sadyáś cit tám abhíṣṭaye káro váśaś ca vā́jinam | sā́smā́kam anavadya tūtujāna vedhásām imā́ṃ vā́caṃ ná vedhásām ||
El carro que tú, oh Indra, impulsas hacia delante para ganar la inteligencia inspirada (medhā) —aún inmaduro—, tú, el instigador, lo guías; lo conduces sin tacha hacia delante. Al instante lo haces para el logro deseado: obediente y victorioso, oh vājín, pleno de fuerza. Así, para nosotros, oh irreprochable, tú que te lanzas: sea esta palabra —para los sabios (vedhas)— como palabra de sabios.
