Kausalya–Rama Dialogue on Exile-Dharma
कृतान्तस्य गतिः पुत्र दुर्विभाव्या सदा भुवि।यस्त्वां सञ्चोदयति मे वच आच्छिद्य राघव।।2.24.35।।
kṛtāntasya gatiḥ putra durvibhāvyā sadā bhuvi |
yas tvāṃ sañcodayati me vaca āchidya rāghava || 2.24.35 ||
Hijo mío, oh Rāghava, siempre es inescrutable en este mundo el curso del Destino, que te impulsa hacia adelante, pasando por encima de mis palabras.
O Rama! inconceivable is the course of destiny which is inciting you to go to the forest disregarding my words.
It teaches humility before forces beyond control; dharma is practiced within human limits, with truthful recognition of destiny’s power.
Kauśalyā laments that despite her counsel, destiny drives Rāma toward exile.
