yadi putra na jāyethā mama śokāya rāghava | na sma duḥkham ato bhūyaḥ paśyeyam aham aprajāḥ ||

Translation

Oh hijo, oh Rāghava: si no hubieras nacido para mí como causa de este dolor, aun siendo yo una mujer sin hijos, no habría tenido que contemplar una pena mayor que ésta.
