AV 6.36 invoca a Vaiśvānara-Agni como señor de la luz del ṛta, pidiendo un gharma incesante (calor protector) que disipe el frío, la desgracia y la quiebra del orden ritual. Luego amplía el papel de Agni del fuego doméstico al regulador cósmico: ordena todas las cosas, libera las estaciones en armonía con el ṛta y lleva el sacrificio a su culminación. Él, el regidor, ha dispuesto todas las cosas en la debida correspondencia; conforme a Ṛta hace salir las estaciones, habiendo llevado más allá la fuerza vital del Sacrificio — hasta su cumplimiento.

अ॒ग्निः परे॑षु॒ धाम॑सु॒ कामो॑ भू॒तस्य॒ भव्य॑स्य । स॒म्राडेको॒ वि रा॑जति
Agni, en las moradas más lejanas, y Kāma, el deseo de lo que es y de lo que será: el único Samrāj universal resplandece con majestad regia.
