It reflects a Purāṇic-style ritual calendar in which seasonal or multi-month observances (here, a four-month span beginning with Āṣāḍha) are marked by specific offerings and regulated dietary practices, aligning domestic ritual life with cyclical time.
No specific geographic site is named in this verse; it is framed as a time-based prescription tied to the month Āṣāḍha rather than a pilgrimage location.
To follow a defined, orderly ritual procedure (vidhi-krama) for the specified period—performing sesame oblations and adopting a corresponding dietary regimen—emphasizing disciplined observance rather than improvisation.
