Varāha (default speaker within the Varāha–Pṛthivī dialogue framework; not explicitly marked in the excerpt)
It preserves a narrative detail about domestic labor (dāsikā) and household life, offering a small window into social roles and status-markers as represented in Purāṇic storytelling.
No specific place-name appears in this verse; the setting is described generically as a household (gṛha), including a reference to “the house of Hari,” which functions as a devotional or institutional identifier rather than a geographic toponym here.
The verse foregrounds prior social identity and domestic conduct as morally relevant narrative facts, implying that personal history and actions within households may be invoked in ethical evaluation within the surrounding discourse.
