FAQs

It reflects a Purāṇic method of linking calendrical terminology (tithi names) to mythic-cosmological narratives, illustrating how time-reckoning was culturally contextualized in classical Sanskrit literature.

No specific geographic site is named in this verse; the focus is on sacred time (tithi) and its naming rationale rather than a pilgrimage location.

Rather than prescribing conduct, the verse primarily offers a conceptual instruction: sacred time is framed as meaningful through orderly emergence and naming, emphasizing structure, continuity, and intelligibility in cosmological description.
