Praise of the Sacred Geography of Mathurā
ऊर्ध्वबाहुर्निराहारस्तताप परमं तपः॥ साग्रं संवत्सरं देवि ततः काममवाप्तवान्॥
ūrdhvabāhur nirāhāras tatāpa paramaṁ tapaḥ || sāgraṁ saṁvatsaraṁ devi tataḥ kāmam avāptavān ||
Mit erhobenen Armen und ohne Nahrung vollzog er höchste Askese. Ein volles Jahr lang, o Göttin, und dann erlangte er sein begehrtes Ziel.
