उवाच मधुरं वाक्यं प्रीतः प्रणतवत्सलः ॥ गण्डकि त्वां प्रसन्नोऽस्मि तपसा विस्मितोऽनघे ॥

Erfreut und liebevoll zu der, die sich ehrfürchtig verneigt, sprach er süße Worte: „O Gaṇḍakī, ich bin dir wohlgesinnt; durch deine Askese bin ich erstaunt, o Makellose.“
