The Arising of Diverse Dharmas: Devotional Observances and Varṇa-Based Duties
न कषायैः स्पृहा यस्य प्राप्नुयात्सिद्धिमुत्तमाम् ॥ भार्या पुत्राः पिता माता उपभोगार्थसंयुतम् ॥
na kaṣāyaiḥ spṛhā yasya prāpnuyāt siddhim uttamām || bhāryā putrāḥ pitā mātā upabhogārthasaṁyutam ||
Wer keinerlei Verlangen hat, selbst nicht nach dem Herben, erlangt die höchste Vollendung. Doch Gattin, Söhne, Vater und Mutter sind mit den Zielen des Genusses verknüpft und werden so zur Quelle der Anhaftung.
