त्वं वाङ्मयस् त्वं चिन्मयः । त्वम् आनन्दमयस् त्वं ब्रह्ममयः । त्वं सच्चिदानन्दाद्वितीयोऽसि । त्वं प्रत्यक्षं ब्रह्मासि । त्वं ज्ञानमयो विज्ञानमयोऽसि ॥५॥

tvaṃ vāṅmayas tvaṃ cinmayaḥ | tvam ānandamayas tvaṃ brahmamayaḥ | tvaṃ saccidānandādvitīyo'si | tvaṃ pratyakṣaṃ brahmāsi | tvaṃ jñānamayo vijñānamayo'si ||5||

Translation

Du bist aus Wort (Rede) gewoben; du bist aus Bewusstsein gewoben. Du bist aus Seligkeit gewoben; du bist aus Brahman gewoben. Du bist das Nicht-Zweite von Sein–Bewusstsein–Seligkeit. Du bist das unmittelbar erfahrbare Brahman. Du bist aus Erkenntnis; du bist aus unterscheidender Erkenntnis (vijñāna).

Academic Translation

You are constituted of speech; you are constituted of consciousness. You are constituted of bliss; you are constituted of Brahman. You are non-second to Existence–Consciousness–Bliss. You are directly perceptible Brahman. You are constituted of knowledge; you are constituted of discriminative knowledge (vijñāna).

Verse Context

• Brahman as Sat–Cit–Ānanda; non-duality (advaita) and pratyakṣa-brahma (immediacy of the Absolute)
• Mahavakya: Closest in sense to ‘अहं ब्रह्मास्मि’ (Aham brahmāsmi) and ‘तत् त्वम् असि’ (Tat tvam asi) via identity-assertion ‘त्वं … ब्रह्मासि’; framed devotionally toward Gaṇapati as Brahman.
