Sanskrit recitationAvadhuta Upanishad 31

dhanyo'haṃ dhanyo'haṃ duḥkhaṃ sāṃsārikaṃ na vīkṣe'dya |

dhanyo'haṃ dhanyo'haṃ svasyājñānaṃ palāyitaṃ kvāpi ||31||

Selig bin ich, selig bin ich; heute schaue ich kein weltliches Leid. Selig bin ich, selig bin ich; mein eigenes Nichtwissen ist entflohen — irgendwohin.

Blessed am I, blessed am I; today I do not behold worldly sorrow. Blessed am I, blessed am I; my own ignorance has fled—somewhere (away).

Moksha (liberation) through destruction of avidyāMahavakya: Supports the realization implied by “अहं ब्रह्मास्मि” (Aham Brahmāsmi): with Self-knowledge, saṃsāric duḥkha is sublated.AtharvaChandas: Prose/Upaniṣadic mixed meter (not reliably classifiable as a strict Vedic chandas)
