Transliteration

ghṛténa dyā́vāpṛthivī́ abhī́vr̥te ghṛtaśríyā ghṛtapŕ̥cā ghṛtāvŕ̥dhā | urvī́ pr̥thvī́ hotṛvū́rye puróhite té íd víprā īḷate sumnám iṣṭáye ||

Translation

Mit ghṛta sind Himmel und Erde umhüllt — von ghṛta strahlend, von ghṛta erfüllt, durch ghṛta gewachsen. Die weite Erde, vorn eingesetzt als priesterliche Kraft für die Opfergabe, wird von den Sehern angerufen: sie erbitten die Gnade, die das Opfer vollendet.
