इमामू नु कवितमस्य मायां महीं देवस्य नकिरा दधर्ष । एकं यदुद्ना न पृणन्त्येनीरासिञ्चन्तीरवनयः समुद्रम् ॥
imā́m ū̀ nú kavítamasya māyā́ṃ mahī́ṃ devásya nákir ā́ dadharṣa | ékaṃ yád udnā́ ná pṛṇanty énīr āsiñcántīr avánayaḥ samudrám ||
Nun — diese große Māyā, die gewaltige Schöpferkraft des allsehenden Gottes — hat niemand überwältigt. Den Einen Ozean füllen die Ströme nicht, obgleich sie unablässig Wasser hineingießen: so nimmt das Grenzenlose alle Strömungen auf, ohne erschöpft zu werden — Varuṇas Unendlichkeit umfasst sie und wahrt die r̥ta-Ordnung.
