त्यं चिदित्था कत्पयं शयानमसूर्ये तमसि वावृधानम् । तं चिन्मन्दानो वृषभः सुतस्योच्चैरिन्द्रो अपगूर्या जघान ॥

Transliteration

tyáṃ cid itthā́ katpáyaṃ śáyānam asū́rye támási vāvṛdhānám | táṃ cin mandānó vṛṣabháḥ sutásyóccair índro apágūryā jaghāna ||

Translation

Auch jenen Katpaya, der in sonnenloser Finsternis lag und dort anwuchs — auch ihn erschlug Indra, der Stier, im Jubel über den gepressten Soma, von oben her, ihn entblößend, ans Licht bringend.
