महि महे दिवे अर्चा पृथिव्यै कामो म इच्छञ्चरति प्रजानन् । ययोर्ह स्तोमे विदथेषु देवाः सपर्यवो मादयन्ते सचायोः ॥
máhi mahé divé arcā pṛthivyái kā́mo ma icchán cárati prajā́nann | yáyor ha stóme vidáthēṣu devā́ḥ saparyávo mā́dayante sacā́yoḥ ||
Singe einen weiten Hymnus dem Großen Himmel und der Erde. In mir geht das suchende Verlangen umher, sein Ziel erkennend. Denn in ihrem Lobpreis, in den Zusammenkünften des ṛta, freuen sich die Götter – die Dienenden und Werkvollbringer – gemeinsam mit dem Paar (Himmel und Erde).
