Transliteration

cákṣuṣaḥ pitā mánasā hí dhīró ghṛtámene ajanann annamā́ne | yadéd ántā adadṛhanta pū́rva ā́d id dyāvāpṛthivī́ aprathetām ||

Translation

Der Vater des Sehens, wahrlich der standhaft Weise, gebar durch den Geist den geklärten Strom (ghṛta), das lichtvolle Erkennen, während die beiden sich in Verehrung neigten. Als die ersten Grenzen fest gegründet waren, da dehnten sich Himmel und Erde aus zu ihrer weiten Wohnstatt.
