Sukta 1.63
त्वं ह त्यदिन्द्र चोदीः सखा वृत्रं यद्वज्रिन्वृषकर्मन्नुभ्नाः । यद्ध शूर वृषमणः पराचैर्वि दस्यूँर्योनावकृतो वृथाषाट् ॥
tváṃ ha tyád indra codī́ḥ sákhā vṛtráṃ yád vajrin vṛṣa-karman ubhnā́ḥ | yád dha śūra vṛṣa-maṇaḥ parācáir ví dasyū́ṃr yónāv ákṛto vṛthāṣā́ṭ ||
Du wahrlich, o Indra, hast die verbündete Kraft angetrieben, als du, o Träger des Vajra, Vollbringer der gewaltigen Tat, Vṛtra niederschlugst. Als du, o Held, in Machtlust stark, die Dasyus auseinandertreibend, sie in den Schoß der Finsternis hinabwarfst — Sieger über Trug.
