गृहंगृहमहना यात्यच्छा दिवेदिवे अधि नामा दधाना । सिषासन्ती द्योतना शश्वदागादग्रमग्रमिद्भजते वसूनाम् ॥
gṛháṃ-gṛ́ham ahánā yā́ty ácchā divé-dive ádhi nā́mā dádhānā | sisā́santī dyotanā́ śáśvad ā́gād ágram-agram íd bhájate vásūnām ||
Von Haus zu Haus schreitet Uṣas, Tag um Tag, gerade auf uns zu, immer wieder ihren Namen auf sich nehmend. Um zu wecken und zu erleuchten, kehrt sie unablässig wieder; Schritt um Schritt teilt sie die Schätze aus — jeder Fortschritt eröffnet einen neuen Anteil des Reichtums.
