Pleased with his words Rama said, O Lakshmana! go and take leave of all your friends.
Unbroken duty: dharma as continuous care—Lakṣmaṇa vows constant service, ensuring Rāma and Sītā can live without anxiety.
Lakṣmaṇa promises round-the-clock support in exile, taking on all burdens so Rāma can focus on righteous conduct and Sītā’s wellbeing.
Vigilance and self-effacement—he places others’ comfort above his own rest.
