Im Volk zu Freude ist er wie der Mond; in Nachsicht wie die Erde; an Weisheit Bṛhaspati gleich; und an Tapferkeit, als wäre er Indra selbst.
He is equal to the Moon in causing happiness to the people, to the earth in forbearance, to Brihaspati in wisdom and to Indra in prowess.
A ruler’s dharma is multi-dimensional: he must delight and protect the people (Moon), endure and forgive (Earth), judge wisely (Bṛhaspati), and defend courageously (Indra).
Rāma is publicly praised through divine comparisons to articulate his fitness for royal responsibility.
Balanced excellence—benevolence, patience, wisdom, and valor held together as a single ideal.
