jābāles tu vacaḥ śrutvā rāmaḥ satyātmanāṃ varaḥ | uvāca parayā bhaktyā svabuddhyā cāvipannayā ||

Translation

Nachdem Rāma—der Vornehmste unter den Wahrhaftigen—Jābālis Worte vernommen hatte, erwiderte er in tiefer Verehrung und Hingabe, geleitet von seinem eigenen Urteil, fest und unerschüttert.
