Sukta 3
यत्रे॒दानीं॒ पश्य॑सि जातवेद॒स्तिष्ठ॑न्तमग्न उ॒त वा॒ चर॑न्तम्। उ॒तान्तरि॑क्षे॒ पत॑न्तं यातु॒धानं॒ तमस्ता॑ विध्य॒ शर्वा॒ शिशा॑नः
yátrédānīṃ páśyasi jātavedas tíṣṭhantam agna utá vā cárantam | utā́ntárikṣe pátantaṃ yātudhā́naṃ tám astā́ vidhya śárvā śiśānáḥ
Where now thou seest him, O Jātavedas—standing, O Agni, or moving to and fro; yea, though in the mid-air flying—the Yātudhāna: him, O Śarva, keen-whetted, pierce with thy missile.
Wo du ihn jetzt siehst, o Jātavedas, stehend, o Agni, oder hin und her gehend; ja, auch wenn er mitten in der Luft fliegt, den Yātudhāna: ihn, o Śarva, geschärft, durchbohre mit deinem Geschoss.
