Aditi—Aditi ist der Himmel; Aditi ist der Luftraum; Aditi ist die Mutter: sie ist der Vater, sie ist der Sohn. Alle Götter sind Aditi; die Fünf Völker sind Aditi; Aditi ist das Geborene, und Aditi ist das Gebären selbst.

Wir rufen zur Hilfe die mächtige Mutter an – die Hüterin guter Ordnung, die Gemahlin des Ṛta: Aditi, von gewaltiger Herrschaft, unalternd, weithin leuchtend, von gnädigem Schutz, von vortrefflicher Führung.

सु॒त्रामा॑णं पृथि॒वीं द्याम॑ने॒हसं॑ सु॒शर्मा॑ण॒मदि॑तिं सु॒प्रणी॑तिम्। दैवीं॒ नावं॑ स्वरि॒त्रामना॑गसो॒ अस्र॑वन्ती॒मा रु॑हेमा स्व॒स्तये॑
Die Erde, die gut beschirmt, und den Himmel, der nicht schädigt; Aditi, von gutem Obdach und guter Führung: auf das göttliche Boot, gut gerudert, schuldlos und nicht leckend, mögen wir zum Heil hinaufsteigen.

Nun, beim Antrieb der Kraft, richten wir die große Mutter Aditi — dem Namen nach — durch das Wort auf. Sie, in deren Schoß der weite Zwischenraum gegründet ist, möge uns fest eine dreifach geschützte Zuflucht gewähren.
