Dieser kurze königliche Zauberspruch «umzäunt» den König in fester, unbeweglicher Souveränität, damit das Reich nicht entgleitet und das Volk willig in Eintracht bleibt. Einfriedung für den König. Hierher habe ich dich gebracht; innen bist du eingetreten. Stehe fest, unerschütterlich. Alle Völker sollen nach dir verlangen; das Reich soll dir nicht entgleiten.

इ॒हैवैधि॒ माप॑ च्योष्ठाः॒ पर्व॑त इ॒वावि॑चाचलत्। इन्द्र॑ इवे॒ह ध्रु॒वस्ति॑ष्ठे॒ह रा॒ष्ट्रमु॑ धारय
Hier, ja hier, gedeihe; gleite nicht hinweg. Unerschüttert wie ein Berg: wie Indra steh hier fest und trage hier das Königtum.

इन्द्र॑ ए॒तम॑दीधरत् ध्रु॒वं ध्रु॒वेण॑ ह॒विषा॑ । तस्मै॒ सोमो॒ अधि॑ ब्रवद॒यं च॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॑
Indra machte dies fest — fest durch eine feste Opfergabe (havis). Dazu sprach Soma ihm Zustimmung, und ebenso dieser Herr des Gebets, Brahmaṇaspati.
