Sukta 92

ज॒वस्ते॑ अर्व॒न् निहि॑तो॒ गुहा॒ यः श्ये॒ने वात॑ उ॒त योऽच॑र॒त् परी॑त्तः । तेन॒ त्वं वा॑जि॒न् बल॑वा॒न् बले॑ना॒जिं ज॑य॒ सम॑ने पारयि॒ष्णुः

Sanskrit recitationAtharva Veda 6.92.2

javás te arvan níhito gúhā yáḥ śyéne vā́ta utá yó ’carat párīttaḥ | téna tváṁ vā́jin bálavān bálena ā́jiṁ jaya sámane pārayiṣṇúḥ ||

Thy speed, O steed, is laid away in secret—speed that is in the falcon, and that which the wind hath moved, ranging about. Therewith, O racer, strong with strength, win thou the race in the encounter, one that bears it through unto the end.

Deine Schnelligkeit, o Ross, ist im Verborgenen niedergelegt — die Schnelligkeit, die im Falken ist, und die, welche der Wind, umherfahrend, bewegt hat. Mit ihr, o Renner, stark durch Stärke: gewinne den Wettlauf im Zusammenstoß, der ihn bis ans Ende hinüberträgt.
