sóma óṣadhībhirúdakrāmat; tā́m púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ | tā́m ā́ viśata, tā́m prá viśata; sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yacchatu ||
Soma with the herbs strode forth: that fortress I lead forward unto you. Enter ye into it, enter ye full into it: may she bestow on you both shelter and armour.
Soma schritt mit den Oṣadhis (Heilkräutern) hervor: diese Feste führe ich euch herbei. Tretet in sie ein, tretet ganz in sie ein: sie gewähre euch sowohl Schutz (śárman) als auch Panzerung (várman).
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (anukramaṇī-dependent)
Devata: Soma together with the Oṣadhis
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like cadence (refrain-driven)
Primary: shanta
Secondary: adbhuta
