की॒र्तिश्च॒ यश॑श्च पुरःस॒रावैनं॑ की॒र्तिर्ग॑च्छ॒त्या यशो॑ गच्छति॒ य ए॒वं वेद॑॥१६ स उद॑तिष्ठ॒त् स प्र॒तीचीं॒ दिश॒मनु॒ व्यऽचलत्

kīrtíś ca yáśaś ca puraḥsarā́v enaṁ kīrtír gácchaty ā́ yáśo gácchati yá eváṁ véda ||16|| sá úd atiṣṭhat sá pratī́cīṁ díśam ánu vy-àcalat

Fame and Glory, as his forerunners, go before him; Fame goes, and Glory comes unto him—whoso thus knoweth. He arose; he moved forth following the western quarter.

Ruhm und Herrlichkeit, als seine Vorläufer, gehen vor ihm her; der Ruhm geht, und die Herrlichkeit kommt zu ihm — wer so weiß. Er erhob sich; er zog aus, der westlichen Himmelsrichtung folgend.
