Loose him from headache; yea, and from cough—him whom the rending limb-pain hath entered and possessed. What is cloud-begotten, what is wind-begotten, and what fierce surge of malady—let the Forest-Lords (the plants) attend, and the Mountains also.
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angirasa tradition (ascribed at hymn-level in the Anukramaṇī; to be specified by consulting the AVŚ anukramaṇī for 1.12).
Devata: Bhaiṣajya/vanaspati powers; implicitly the expelling force against kāsa, śīrṣa-śakti, and parūṣparu.
Chandas: Predominantly Anuṣṭubh-type cadence (to be verified against pada-count in the school’s metrical analysis).
Primary: karuna
Secondary: shanta
