Sukta 8.97
य इन्द्र सस्त्यव्रतोऽनुष्वापमदेवयुः । स्वैः ष एवैर्मुमुरत्पोष्यं रयिं सनुतर्धेहि तं ततः ॥
yá índra sásty avrátó ’nu-svā́pam ádevayuḥ | sváīḥ sá eváīr mumurat póṣyaṃ rayím sanutár dhehi táṃ tátas ||
হে ইন্দ্র! যে সত্যব্রতহীন, কর্তব্যপথে শৈথিল্যযুক্ত, নিদ্রায় নিমগ্ন, দেবসন্ধানহীন—সে নিজেরই গতিপথে পতিত হয়। কিন্তু যে সত্য-প্রচেষ্টায় তা অর্জন করে, সেই বিজয়ীর কাছে পোষণদায়িনী রয়ি (সমৃদ্ধি) স্থাপন কর; তাকে সেখানেই রাখ, ঐ অন্যজন থেকে দূরে।
