Sukta 5.1
अग्निमच्छा देवयतां मनांसि चक्षूंषीव सूर्ये सं चरन्ति । यदीं सुवाते उषसा विरूपे श्वेतो वाजी जायते अग्रे अह्नाम् ॥
agním ácchā deva-yatā́m manā́ṃsi cakṣū́ṃṣīva sū́rye sáṃ caranti | yád īṃ súvāte uṣásā vírūpe śvetó vājī́ jāyate ágre áhnām ||
অগ্নির দিকে দেবযত (দেব-অন্বেষী) মনসমূহ একত্রে গমন করে, যেমন সূর্যের দিকে চক্ষুগুলি মিলিত হয়। যখন উষসার সেই দুই শক্তি—রূপে বিচিত্র—তাকে প্রসব করে, তখন দিনগুলির অগ্রভাগে সমৃদ্ধির শ্বেত বাজী (অশ্ব) জন্মায়।
