स्तीर्णे बर्हिषि समिधाने अग्ना ऊर्ध्वो अध्वर्युर्जुजुषाणो अस्थात् । पर्यग्निः पशुपा न होता त्रिविष्ट्येति प्रदिव उराणः ॥

stīrṇé bárhiṣi samidhāné agnáu ūrdhvó adhvaryúr jujuṣāṇó asthāt | pár y agníḥ paśu-pā́ ná hotā́ tri-viṣṭy éti pra-dívaḥ urāṇáḥ ||

বিছানো বহিষে, যখন অগ্নি প্রজ্বালিত হয়, তখন অধ্বর্যু ঊর্ধ্ব হয়ে দাঁড়ায়—গ্রহণ করে, সেবা করে। অগ্নি পশুপা—প্রাণরক্ষক—এবং হোতা রূপে চারদিকে পরিক্রমা করে; সে উরাণঃ—উদ্দীপ্ত—ত্রিবিষ্টি (ত্রিবিধ আসন)-এর দিকে, স্বর্গের উচ্চ প্রদেশের দিকে গমন করে।
