Sukta 10.3
कृष्णां यदेनीमभि वर्पसा भूज्जनयन्योषां बृहतः पितुर्जाम् । ऊर्ध्वं भानुं सूर्यस्य स्तभायन्दिवो वसुभिररतिर्वि भाति ॥
kṛṣṇā́ṁ yád enī́m abhí várpasā bhū́j janáyan yóṣāṁ bṛhatáḥ pitúr jā́m | ūrdhváṁ bhānúṁ sū́ryasya stabhā́yan divó vásu-bhir aratír ví bhā́ti ||
যখন সে নিজের রূপ-তেজে কৃষ্ণা (তমস)-কে সম্মুখীন হয়, তখন সে বৃহৎ পিতৃ—বিস্তৃত পিতা—এর সন্তান, সেই দীপ্ত কন্যা (উষা)-কে জন্ম দেয়। সে সূর্যের ভানুকে ঊর্ধ্বে স্থাপন করে, আর দিব্য বসুসমূহসহ আরতি-শক্তি সর্বত্র দীপ্ত হয়।
