হে সোম, নিজকে পৱিত্ৰ কৰ; দেৱসকলক আনন্দ দিয়া, গতিৰে বিস্তৃত-শাসক, আপ্সু (জলসমূহত) নিবাসী—ইন্দ্ৰৰ বাবে, বৰুণৰ বাবে, বায়ুৰ বাবে। আজি আমাৰ বাবে বিস্তৃত আশ্ৰয়-স্থান, কল্যাণময় স্বস্তি সৃষ্টি কৰা; উৰু-ক্ষিতি (বিস্তৃত নিবাস)ত দৈৱ জনক (দিব্য শক্তিসকলক) স্তৱন কৰা।
