এই সংক্ষিপ্ত সন্মনস্য সূক্তটি সামাজিক ঐক্যৰ বাবে এক লক্ষ্যভেদী মন্ত্র: ই এটা গোটক একেটা উদ্দেশ্য, হৃদয় আৰু মনত বান্ধি ৰাখে, যাতে সিদ্ধান্ত আৰু কৰ্ম দলাদলি নোহোৱাকৈ উদ্ভৱ হয়। ই মানৱ একতাক “পুৰণি কালৰ” দেৱসকলৰ আদৰ্শত গঢ়ে—যিসকলে পাৰস্পৰিক সন্মতিত নিজৰ অংশ ভাগ-বতৰা কৰে—আৰু দিৱ্য সন্মতিক সামুদায়িক সংহতিৰ নমুনা কৰি তোলে।

सांमनस्यम्। सं जा॑नीध्वं॒ सं पृ॑च्यध्वं॒ सं वो॒ मनां॑सि जानताम्। दे॒वा भा॒गं यथा॒ पूर्वे॑ संजाना॒ना उ॒पास॑ते
একমন হওক; একেলগে জানক; একেলগে মিলক; তোমালোকৰ মন একে জ্ঞানত স্থিৰ হওক। যেন পূৰ্বৰ দেৱতাসকল একমত হৈ নিজৰ ভাগ গ্ৰহণ কৰিবলৈ উপাসনা কৰে, তেনেকৈ তোমালোকো হওক।

स॒मा॒नो मन्त्रः॒ समि॑तिः समा॒नी स॑मा॒नं व्र॒तं स॒ह चि॒त्तमे॑षाम्। स॒मा॒नेन॑ वो ह॒विषा॑ जुहोमि समा॒नं चेतो॑ अभि॒संवि॑शध्वम्
মন্ত্ৰ একে হওক, সমিতি (সমাবেশ) একে হওক; ব্ৰত (আচাৰ-নিয়ম) একে হওক, আৰু সিহঁতৰ চিত্ত-উদ্দেশ্য একেলগে হওক। একে হৱিষা (আহুতি)ৰে মই তোমালোকৰ বাবে জুহোতি কৰোঁ; একে চেতনা/মনলৈ একত্ৰে প্ৰৱেশ কৰা—ঐক্যবদ্ধ হওক।

स॒मा॒नी व॒ आकू॑तिः समा॒ना हृद॑यानि वः । स॒मा॒नम॑स्तु वो॒ मनो॒ यथा॑ वः॒ सुस॒हास॑ति
তোমালোকৰ আকূতি (সংকল্প) একে হওক; তোমালোকৰ হৃদয়সমূহ একে হওক। তোমালোকৰ মনো একে হওক, যাতে তোমালোকৰ মাজত সুসহাসতি—সু-সম্মতি আৰু শুভ ঐক্য স্থিৰ থাকে।
