Avadhuta Upanishad 8: Verse 8

कृत्स्नमेतच्चित्रं कर्म । स्वैरं न विगायेत् तन्महाव्रतम् । न स मूढवल्लिप्यते ॥८॥

IAST Transliteration

kṛtsnam etac citraṃ karma | svairaṃ na vigāyet tanmahāvratam | na sa mūḍhavad lipyate ||8||

Translation

Tất cả những hành tác này chỉ là một màn trình diễn muôn vẻ. Chớ tùy tiện ca tụng hay phô bày nó; đó là đại thệ nguyện. Người ấy không bị nhiễm ô như kẻ mê muội.

Academic Translation

All this action is a variegated display. One should not sing it out (i.e., not proclaim/celebrate it) at will; that is the great vow. He is not tainted like the deluded.
