अग्ने कविर्वेधा असि होता पावक यक्ष्यः । मन्द्रो यजिष्ठो अध्वरेष्वीड्यो विप्रेभिः शुक्र मन्मभिः ॥

Transliteration

ágné kavír vedhā́ ási hótā pā́vaka yákṣyaḥ | mandró yájiṣṭho adhvaréṣv ī́ḍyo víprebhiḥ śúkra mánmabhiḥ ||

Translation

Hỡi Agni, Ngài là thi thánh (kavi) và bậc thông tri (vedhā); là tư tế triệu thỉnh (hotṛ), là Đấng thanh tẩy (pāvaka), sẵn sàng cử hành tế lễ. Ngài hân hoan, thiện xảo nhất trong nghi lễ (yajiṣṭha), đáng được tán dương trong các cuộc hiến tế (īḍya); Ngài rực sáng bởi những tư niệm tinh khiết (manman) của các bậc linh cảm (vipra).
