अपामुपस्थे महिषा अगृभ्णत विशो राजानमुप तस्थुॠग्मियम् । आ दूतो अग्निमभरद्विवस्वतो वैश्वानरं मातरिश्वा परावतः ॥
apā́m upásthe mahiṣā́ agṛbhṇata víśo rājā́nam úpa tasthur ṛ́gmiyam | ā́ dūtó agním abharad vivásvato vaiśvānaráṃ mātáriśvā parā́vataḥ ||
Trong lòng của các Nước, những bậc hùng mạnh nắm lấy Ngài; các bộ tộc tiến đến vị Vua giàu quyền năng của thánh tụng. Là sứ giả, Mātariśvan mang Agni—Vaiśvānara—từ Vivasvat, từ miền xa thẳm, đưa ngọn lửa ẩn kín vào cõi công việc của loài người.
