Avadhuta Upanishad 3: Verse 3

यो विलङ्घ्याश्रमान्वर्णानात्मन्येव स्थितः सदा । अतिवर्णाश्रमी योगी अवधूतः स कथ्यते॥३॥

यः । विलङ्घ्य । आश्रमान् । वर्णान् । आत्मनि । एव । स्थितः । सदा । अति-वर्ण-आश्रमी । योगी । अवधूतः । सः । कथ्यते ॥३॥

Sanskrit recitationAvadhuta Upanishad 3

yo vilaṅghyāśramān varṇān ātmany eva sthitaḥ sadā | ativarṇāśramī yogī avadhūtaḥ sa kathyate ||3||

Ang sinumang lumampas sa apat na āśrama at apat na varṇa, at laging nananatiling nakatindig sa Sarili lamang—ang yogin na lampas sa varṇa at āśrama ay tinatawag na Avadhūta.

He who, having transcended the (four) āśramas and the (four) varṇas, remains always established in the Self alone—such a yogin, beyond varṇa and āśrama, is called an Avadhūta.
